What this website does with information, in plain words. Last updated 7 October 2026.
Who runs this site
Finding Sikhi is a series published by BoS TV, part of Basics of Sikhi. Basics of Sikhi is a project of Everythings 13, registered charity 1143262 in England and Wales, which is responsible for this website. For any privacy question, email info@everythings13.org.
Browsing the site
You can browse and watch without an account. The site's own code sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, the host processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Cloudflare says this tool does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites.
Episode images
Episode thumbnails, portraits and logos are stored on this website and load from it. Showing them does not contact YouTube or any other company.
Video
Episodes are hosted on YouTube. On an episode page, the video player only loads when you press play. It then loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced address (youtube-nocookie.com), and from that point YouTube, run by Google, processes information about your viewing under its own privacy policy and may store data on your device.
Links marked "Watch on YouTube", and links to Instagram, WhatsApp and the podcast feed, take you to those services, which have their own terms and privacy policies.
Email updates
If you join the Finding Sikhi email list, we collect your email address, your first name if you give it, and a record of the consent wording you agreed to and when. We use these only to send you emails about new episodes and articles.
The list is run through Brevo, an email service that processes this information on our behalf. After you submit the form, you receive one email asking you to confirm. You are only subscribed once you press the link in that email.
Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at info@everythings13.org. We do not use the fact that you signed up to draw conclusions about your beliefs or your health.
Sharing your story
If you email or message the team about your story, your message goes to the Finding Sikhi team. They read it to consider stories for the series and to reply to you. A message is not published automatically, and getting in touch does not add you to the email list.
WhatsApp is run by Meta, so messages sent that way are also handled under WhatsApp's own terms. If your message includes sensitive details about belief or health, share only what you are comfortable with. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Email info@everythings13.org. If you are unhappy with a reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
